In 2017, Fitzgerald Realty Group, Inc. in conjunction with their partner Ruppert Properties won the FRED (Frederick Real Estate Dealmakers) Modern Masterpiece Award for Monocacy Trading Center in Walkersville, Maryland. The 200,000-square-foot industrial building was purchased in 2014 as a vacant, deteriorating warehouse and was completely renovated into an award-winning facility.

In two short years, the Monocacy Trading Center, a former manufacturing facility at 8301 Retreat Road, was renovated, repurposed, and converted for multi-tenant use. The space leased quickly and went from 0 to 90 percent leased during that time. One space remains in the building, a 15,000-square-foot unit with dock and drive-in loading, outside storage, and a 22-foot clear height, competitively priced at $5.95 per square foot NNN.
